Lazlo writes: I'd love for KW's back catalog -- from the original eponymous album forward -- to get a nice respectful reissue, bonus tracks or not. As I've said elsewhere (loudly), Cleopatra's half-assed attempts didn't exactly turn my crank. To which I respond -- right fucking on. That label has to be one of the most worthless labels out there. Sometimes I wonder if "mercilessly shameful repackaging of songs you already have" is in their corporate declarations. I don't think I know of a re-release (or original release, for that matter) that has been worth a toss on Cleopatra. BTW, in the new issue of Select, they mention the reissue of "The Man Machine," with several new tracks in German. They give it five out of five, of course. Chabes

to which ill say again: at least they are fucking doing it! who else is? NO ONE! if u dont like em, dont buy em, but at least give em credit for trying to get the music out there...and if u already got the material, why are u looking at em? these are re-releases for christsakes...they never said they were "greatest hits" or "improved" or "new and remastered" or whatever other bs is put on packaging these days...for ur education, heres some shit put out by them: cluster us tour live 1996, new brand x, cosmic couriers, re-release of the first two Kluster albums, re-release of czukay's moving pictures, re-release of barret's octopus, etc, etc...read the catalog...and no, i dont work for them.... tom w np: high priests of electronic dub (hypnotic; try getting all these in one package; with a nice cheesy 3d cover no less; all at $11.99)
