simplistic, maybe, in that the tracks are stripped down, with the bare
number of elements required to convey their message.
self-indulgent... i have no idea what that means. if anything, it's
spare, ascetic music.

considering the glacial quality of drexciya's release schedule, i find
that statement laughable.
drexciya create their own sound and their own world. it's unique and
exciting and full of water and electronics. normally i wouldn't
advise mixing those two but in this case, jump on in, the water's
fine. just watch out for the sea snakes!
