FYI Elektro Fans: Drexciya is NO MORE!! "The Quest" 2XCD was their final release. They'll be a full interview of this in the September edition of Muzik mag. They say,"This is it. It's time for a change. It's time to prepare for the year 2000. Drexciya came and did what it was suppose to do. Now, it's time to move up to the next level" I say, "Wiki Wiki Wiki. Jam on." while we are on the subject.... I picked up this 2cd, which is very good as I expected, but on the inside there seems to be some type of socio- political statement etc. Apparently, "The Journey Home"=all Africans Americans are going to return to Africa? For a visit? Forever? This is going to solve race relations? I don't understand what they are trying to say....Does anyone? From an interview I read once, I thought UR had some really coherent, intelligent ideas...But from the little I've been exposed to:the above + the whole underwater race thing...it all seems kinda silly, somewhat lame, and very half-assed.... Excuse my ignorance if I am totaly out of line here...this is just my impression from the liner from the Quest cd.... please enlighten me.... andy

Everyone should get this set anyways...there's no excuse. It's cheap and it's dope as fuck. Underwater hard edged freakazoid electro that has as much in common with the Rephlex 'avant garde' as the Detroit posse. Put's the Jedi Shmights to shame in a heartbeat. peace Nate Nate Harrison Digital Magician Inc. www.digimagician.com nate@digimagician.com 313.994.7316

Yeah, they have. Since October of last year when they responded to the question in Energy Flash (Detroit Zine)"What's the future for Drexciya?" Their response was " Nothing. Drexiya Out". I suppose time will tell. I'm sure we haven't heard the end from these guys. It may not be Drexiya's name on the cover, but the music will still be there. Ben

dunno about you, but i'm sick of u/r & drexciya using total/final-ism as a tool of hype, it all gets a bit tiresome buy our record cos we ain't gonna make another one [honest] the music should be able to stand on it's on without this charade it's comparable to releasing an album called 'apocalypse now' then releasing a follow up 'errr..ok apocalypse now, and i REALLY mean it this time' then the follow up 'mmmm....i misjudged things, apocalypse maybe next week?"
