It's funny the way themes are repeated on this mailing list (and many others, presumably). Probably a result of the constantly shifting membership. Allowing for all that, I can't believe that people are expending so much energy on the relative merits/commercial potential of *** and ***** etc. Playing this morning and still on in my head: Philip Glass "Facades" performed by the Ensemble Moderne at the BBC Proms last night. I've been searching for this piece since 1992. If only more IDM-ish releases moved me this much. Now I dislike people moaning about how the list has got much worse lately or similar complaints (I think it's stayed roughly the same in my 2 1/2 years) but hearing the Glass piece made me think how trivial a lot of the current threads are. Not that I've started many content-packed threads myself, mind. Don't forget to buy Big Loada today. It's quite good. adam

I've never heard that one. I was quite moved by Glass's "Solo Pieces for Piano." I also have the "Dance Pieces" disc. What other Glass selections do you suggest? Rusty

_Glassworks_ ! Particularly since you like the solo piano disc. --Mark
