SheOne is an artist, who has recently started releasing music. Examples of SheOne' art can be seen on the cover of the Andrea Parker's 'Thunk' 12". There is also a web site showcasing some of his work, but I can remember it off the top of my head. The releases are on Other records. Sounds sort of like stripped down hiphop, but not if you see what I mean... its quite minimal. :) -- dan@madvision.co.uk www.madvision.co.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Anyone remember Req? He used to be a graffiti artist from Brighton (UK) then, during the mid 90's got into music by way of producing minimal techie stuff, Ultimate Dilemma signed him then he moved onto Skint (i think). She One also used to be a master of the aerosol can (London/Brighton) - I reckon it's the same one. I thought graff artists were more into hip-hop than electronic music. Anyone else? As well as releases on Ultimate Dilemma and Skint, Req has recently had a side of a split single on FatCat, along with Team Dyobi on the other side... (Team Dyobi I believe have a 12" on skam soon..?) Req and SheOne are most definitely different people... Req and She One still both paint as well as record.... examples of She One' art can be seen here.... http://www.bboyuk.com/Pages/she1quote.html The only piture of req's I can find is this one... http://www.skint.net/images/artists/req.gif

Req' stuff and SheOne' to some extent is very much hip-hop influenced, but in a more stripped down form. Really they both seem to be taking elements from both sides... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
