Thanks Ross! I just went and D/L all the 'bytes and here what I thought (if anyone cares!)
quoted 2 lines Filter/The Crystal Method> Filter/The Crystal Method > "(Can't You) Trip Like I Do"
Fucking mad distortion! Made my ears rattle! Other then that, lame.
quoted 2 lines Marilyn Manson/Sneaker Pimps> Marilyn Manson/Sneaker Pimps > "It's A Long Hard Road, Out Of Hell"
Sounds like shit to me...just the kind of shit MTV loves so much!
quoted 2 lines Orbital/Kirk Hammett> Orbital/Kirk Hammett > "Satan"
Take a OK song, add some screaming guitars and voila, crap!
quoted 2 lines Korn/The Dust Brothers> Korn/The Dust Brothers > "Kick The P.A."
Ok beats, cool basslines...more guitars and vocals, kakka! (snip) I went thru them all and wrote little reviews of each 'byte, but then figured I'd just sum it all up in one fucking line. Wow this shits 'oribble! What the fuck were they thinking? There was only one without vocals, Metallica/D.J. Spooky and it was quite lame regardless. All had varying amounts of screaming guitars and distorted vocals. The only cut with some balls was the Slayer/ATR one and it just sounded like rotterdam with bad vocals. Goldie/Rollins sound good until Henry started talking (and I LIKE Black Flag and the Rollins band!) Overall, this shit is really going to piss me off I get bombarded with it everytime I turn on the tv, radio or go anywhere. Metal vs Techno? Looks like Metal won to me... word to the mothership, brock. np: Amon Tobin - 'Bricolage'

Oh, and before anyone starts firing off silly flames claming that I'm just anti-vocals, anti-guitar, anti-whatever... I'm not, I love all kinds of shit, everything from the Pixies and Ministry to Dead Can Dance and Laurie Anderson. I just don't like crappy music! So there! ;^) peace, brock. np: Same as before - Amon is the man!
