This is the FINAL FINAL FINAL contribution list. I don't want anymore, please. Now, I'm going to address an issue that seems to be coming up quite often...it's this whole "only tape the rare stuff" "why is On on the compilation when I can go down the street and get it for 10 bucks"..... Let me explain again how this is going to work. I get a sizable selection of Aphex music...then EVERYONE decides what to put on it. In this my vote doesn't even count. This is key: YOU GET TO DECIDE. I'm not just going to throw everything I get on to the comp. And I have had a suggestion to go to a 120 minute tape or to two tapes. Well, as for the 120...that will be a no...as there aren't any really good quality tapes that are 120 minutes. As for two tapes...we'll see...I'll distro one tape and then we'll see if there's enough demand for a second one. Now, everyone who's on the list below, send me what you have volunteered for along with an accurate tracklisting and your e-mail address. That's about it for now. Thank you all again VERY much for helping this thing work. Okay, I'm a participant in this crazy thing, and I'm confused. Why are we waiting to decide which choons to include until after you get all the tapes, and second, you said you had your own "sizeable collection" of AFX recordings in a post on another topic. Does it not include any of those mentioned below? I should think it does. My guess is you just want free tapes of stuff, and since those who take the time to dub AFX recordings get thie mixtape for sending in one tape rather than two, you are partly justified, however, had everyone known this, I think they would have clammored to send in stuff that everybody has, like, well like On. But that doesn't make much sense either, does it? Ed P.S. Cover Art? P.P.S. Where's Q-Chastic?! :-) ----------

not if you aren't a trainspotter or have a friend who is. most of those tracks, especially the out of print ones are known.. even on this list for a while and a big AFX fan, I didn't even know about the Blue Calx track (not the one on SAW2, well yes, but not Blue Calx by Blue Calx :) and the Soit-PP track or pseudonym..

I agree here that stuff as easily available as On (which I think he meant On Remixes btw, which is DAMN hard to find unless you make a special order from Warp, or when WarpMart comes out it will be easy.) should not be on the compilation. The remixes are on there because "[we] don't want to buy the whole crappy cd for one track." which I guess is justified, I'm not sure, and could care less if it is really :)
quoted 1 line P.S. Cover Art?>P.S. Cover Art?
probably some simple thing (unless he's a gfx designer or good at that kind of stuff) printed out on an inkjet printer (hopefully not a dot matrix :D) I myself have an inkjet printer and it makes damn good printings, it even competes with laser, for the price.. I've myself made tape covers and cd covers (I made a cd cover for the ltd. edition of FSOL and put it in a standard case so the cardboard case wouldn't get messed up) and they look damn good, except if you print it on regular print paper like I did, it's kinda flimsy and doesn't look good, but if he prints it on high-gloss inkjet paper it will look near-laser quality, depending on how many DPI the printer is.
quoted 1 line P.P.S. Where's Q-Chastic?! :-)>P.P.S. Where's Q-Chastic?! :-)
I reckon nobody has it, or wants to contribute it.. for sure I know that it's the accepted theory among many ppl that Q-Chastic (the ep at least) doesn't even exist. the track is available on some compilation. __ __\ \ / /_\ \ \_____/ , m7=

My sizable collection is everything I could find locally, and a few cd's I just purchased from folks on the list...I have NONE of this rare stuff, i.e. Joyrex's HAB's and any AB's other than number one. And the reason we are waiing is because it would just be hell trying to update every single person on EXACTLY what tracks they need to send, whne it's much easier to just dub off a couple EP's and send it. Less wait, less hassle...I don't even think I need to justify myself, but then again, maybe I do...

In a sense, you're right. But that is the whole point of the comp is to get stuff you don't have and have practically nil chance of getting. All I know is, I have seen NONE of the stuff being contributed for sale anywhere around my local vicinity. Look, I am doing the work here, and if getting all these dubs is a small bonus...so be it...sheesh...try to share a little and look what happens...

i bought 2 of the cd maxi single that has both remixes through the internet. one at a store. and a 12" at that same store. all cheap.

on the astralwerks cd by seefeel: polyfusia. pretty easy. let me point out that the gavin bryars remix cd is rarer than fuck and worth probably whatever you have to pay for it. my friend paid 3 bucks for the 12", i paid 30 for the cd.
