Anyone what's up with there label? They have a lot of what I consider to be true IDM (Eat Static, Children of the Bong). Or at least what's up with their artists? Ravis1 e-mailing from work. Travis L. Combel Project Engineer T.E.S.T. Inc. (504) 371-3065

Planet Dog Records has some good stuff and some not so good stuff.. By that I mean that Children of the Bong, some Banco de Gaia, and a little bit of Eat Static are IDM (esp CotB).. But a lot of their stuff is more trancey. For a good sampler of their artists, get their compilation Transmissions from the Planet Dog. It has 5 Eat Static tracks, 4 Banco de Gaia, 5 Timeshard, and 3 CotB. What's up with their label? --What do you want to know? In the booklet from Transmission there is a biography of the record company and all of the artists on the cd, but I won't type that up ;) It was started by a guy named Michael Dog, I'll tell ya that much... .... grav

Thanks, but I have almost there whole (small) discography (including "Transmissions.." and Quadruped, both are comps) in my collection but I haven't seen anything new come from them in over a year except for a Banco disk I was just informed of (thanks Jeff). As for the trancey Eat Static, I love it because they through in a killer breakbeat and tease you with it for a while and go back to straight beat with the spacey synths and voices. So, I'll try again: Does anyone know what's new with planet dog other than the new Banco? Ravis1 trying again (just yell at me and I'll shut up).
