It's suddenly clear now why Instinct have been so quiet lately: Instinct Electronica presents: High Performance (Various Artists) 1. Chamber "Funky Paradise" 2. Globo "Thirteen" (remixed by Beaumont Hannant) 3. Omnivore "Spandex" 4. Slab "Rampant Prankster" (remixed by Monkey Mafia) 5. Soil "Imaginary Ocean" 6. Crash "Shoeshiner" 7. The Big Eye "Beelzedub" 8. Pilote Burst "Rare Vermont" 9. Slab "Atomsmasher" 10. Tim "Electrastar" 11. Girl Eats Boy "Girl Eats Boy" 12. Blue Frog "Contra" Tracks include works and remixes by Lol Hammond (of the drum club) and Andrew Weatherall..... packaging is very nice too.... nice one Taylor. So is this the future of Instinct? I'd say it's about three years too late, but I'm quite keen to see what releases are lined up for the next few months. I'd say the States needs an electronica label with a strong lineup and decent distribution. I recognize some of these artists from Hydrogen Dukebox. Are the others as well? this was released (i think...) in the uk as a HYDROGEN DUKEBOX compilation called _Shake the Bones_. exact same track-listing, too. DUKE033. i have an advance(?) copy -never seen it listed anywhere. why the title change? it's a great record, btw. review... someday. np: Electric Enigma (Irdial). new Irdial = always an occasion to celebrate.
