When it's about good music, one can never post too much.

Still producing but busy touring at the moment. In fact there is a live Detroit Escalator Co performance in Cleveland on Feb 26th as part of the Transmat tour. The most recent thing that DEC has release was a track on the Time:Space comp cd on Transmat. The last I heard a DEC 12" is forthcoming on Transmat in the near future. I'll ask DEC for more info when I see him at their show next week.

The last release I can remember from David Morley is his Tilted album that was released on Apollo/R&S in late 98. I 'think' there was a recent Morley remix somewhere but I dont remember the details at the moment.

Split... Tom Middleton is a big time house/eclectic DJ these days playing all over the place. He has a house mix CD on Mixmag "A Jedi's Night Out". He also has an ambient project called Amba, who have a track on the latest Big Chill compilation CD - "The Enchanted Garden" which is frankly gorgeous if you like your tunes relaxed, quirky, melodic and fun. He also has a single out on Island subsiduary Blue under the name Cosmos "Summer In Space" - pumping Ibeefa house music. It does feature two remixes in a lovely tunefull vaguely old skool Link style by one Mark Pritchard however, who apart from this has completely dropped off of the radar as far as I can tell. Saw Tom Middleton DJing in Brixton last week and it was a great set mixing compositions on one of those small Yamaha music box thingies in with new Jedi's stuff. Judging by the mix of old style Jedi Knights electro with massive 'Shadow Boxing' type D&B Basslines on the new stuff, I'd guess that Tom and Mark are still working together as the Jedi's. Mark is also currently working with the great Danny Breaks under the name of....... (Can't remember!...for Dan to fill in!)..... For a complete Discography see Dan's forthcoming site.....come on Dan, get a move on with it ;-) Matt. ____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Mark has releases a couple of singles as Use of Weapons on Danny's Droppin' Science label, and the name of the collaboration work between Danny Breaks and Mark Pritchard is Vertigo. There has been one track released as Vertigo so far, this was a compilation appearance on a Millennium album.. the name escapes me now... Mark is also signed to the island blue imprint, and will be releasing his own material on that label later this year. Also there will be more collaborations between Pritchard and Middleton, the first of which I think we will see is the new Jedi knight material, which I think will also be out on island... Oh and of course there is there newish E3 label that has given us singles by Circulation and Max404 so far...

From what I've been told Neil is a perfectionist with his material and releases very few records as a result (making him the exact opposite of virtually every other producer). This is evident to anyone who's heard his material as it really is head and shoulders above everyone else: in the aesthetic realm on the level of Larry Heard, Carl Craig, John Beltran, Chris Gray or Jamie Read.
