Picked up Expert Knob Twiddlers today. It's sounds pretty good, but I was wondering, there are some samples in it, does anyone know where they come from (there's nothing mention in the booklet). I also bought Torque, but you probably don't consider that to be idm... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ M a t h i a s V e r r a e s ET.Phone.Home@ThePentagon.com 'Aliquando praeterea rideo, jocor, ludo, homo sum' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sounds like Beatles to me. -- .Mikko

There's nothing immediately recognizable; it sounds as though they were digging in their crate of jumble sale ez listening records.

I dunno. I bought it too. It's dark slamming D&B with lots of weird touches around the edges; the addition of a mix CD (with a lot of the same tracks) is an interesting touch. I like. Sounds like Perrey & Kingsley and other early elctronic pop people. The sample sources are from the late sixties/ early seventies. They were recorded when a Moog synthesizer was a novelty and most of the music was recorded as novelty pop music. Very quirky, sort of Morricone playfulness. There were several people recording music like this but I don't feel like flipping through my records to make a list. Wish Rhino would come out with compilations and remixes of the stuff.

why take responsibility for the samples and list then in the credits. i find it stupid to list all of your resources. it is better to keep them guessing and no list anything.
