Reply to: RE>>(idm) Daft Punk/Death in Vegas i was there too (daft punk in nyc that is) - it was at twilo (old sound factory space) - and i thought it was equally good - there was a great vibe and a youngish crowd (a lot of whom had not really heard of daft punk but had seen all the snipes around the city for "homework") - good work on virgin's part to get the name out so well - their blend of "mutant disco" is just so good (imho of course) - i believe their coming back later in the year to play live - may that day arrive quickly, is all i can say - also saw death in vegas last night at the elbow room - there are 5 of them when playing live - including a bassist and a guitarist - the place was small but packed and it was put on by giant step (great new york club night) - they played a short set (approx. 55 minutes) and it started off on a downtempo tip, but by the middle of the set they were bangin' - can't wait to hear the album - hope someone finds my drivel partially interesting - later iain
