I read from a Finnish newspaper yesterday that David Bowie's "Heroes" is going to be released as a single with Philip Glass' "remix" done in '93 and a new remix by Aphex Twin. I reckon someone already mentioned this being released in Japan a month or two ago.. Anyone know the exact release date outside Japan? :) -- .Mikko

The glass cd is already out in the states on Point Music . . . the aphex twin remix has yet to be completed, only rough mixes exist as of now, but Kurt at Point said they should be out next month sometime . . . Leslie Rollins lrollin@ibm.net suspend disbelief . . . Now Playing: U.N.K.L.E.

Anyone heard Glass' remakes of some of the tracks from LOW? I've got 'em, and IMHO they don't do much for me. The spots where he stays true to the compositions are nice, but when he wanders off into arpeggio-ville as is the case with most of his own work, the pieces lose whatever quality made them special in the first place. Just my .02, would certainly like to hear what other people thought of those reinterpreted LOW tracks, and to be fair, I would be interested in hearing what he does with the Heroes tracks. Its just the above review leads me to believe Glass puts these tracks through the same treatment. Peace. James
