I just wanted to say that I'm really glad Reverb is back in effect...
And it's in full effect, at that. I just scoped the site, and it's very,
very well done. Good content, good design/layout/interface, and the best
part is, it does it all without reverting to gobs and gobs of
Java/Shockwave/etc (not that those pieces of technology are bad, just that
they should be used with constraint).
Big props out to Dan Sicko and Matt MacQueen for putting this online, and
here's hoping for the continued existence of this. By coincedance, Reverb
(the hypercard stand-alone version) was one of the first pieces of
multimedia I'd ever seen when I was just starting to hear/hear about
Detroit Techno. I remember going to Record Time after I say it, and
telling the girl behind the counter that "I say the ad in Reverb" (like
the old issues used to say), and she met me with a blank look. I probably
would have had better luck mentioning that to someone in the dance room...
Anyway, regards on work nicely done.
Cheers,
