Vulva. It's been almost four years since their debut, "From the Cockpit" came out. But it's still so damn good. It's arguably the best thing they've ever done. It's just a tad over 79 minutes long. It's got bleeps and bloops, serene ambience and foot-friendly techno. So, why haven't you got it? Still amazed after all this time.... Gotta wonder about their name tho. onnow: vulva onnext: my little yoni Lame Thread Prevention in Effect: Aaron Michelson --------------------------------------------------------------------- aw-teck'r (autechre) "Everything you Know is Wrong" For reviews, interviews, art & trash http://www.on-it.net/~aaron/ aaron@defiant.on-it.net

have you gotten the stuff they did on rephlex? Vulvic yonification is the one on SOURCE, right? Well I'm stick kicking myself for not buying it at Freecloud's a few weeks ago. It is indeed a great album, I picked up SEM on Electron instead that day:) hmmm.....now that you mention it, Im hoping that 2x12 is still there. gilly

Hi, There's a copy of Vulva - Birdwatch in my local record shop which I keep seeing, but I can't seem to find out much about them beyond seeing them on a few playlists along with other stuff which I like. Can anybody describe thier sound for me, particularly that release? Thanks, d0ktor

Vulva have a nice dark quirky somewhat crunchy sound not unlike early µ-ziq mixed with a little Mouse on Mars. Birdwatch is a good album but i prefer their first Rephlex album. From the Cockpit. You may also want to check out their Vulvic Yonification album which came out on Source a year or two ago. Vulva also record under the name Yoni on Source records. Their My Little Yoni album from back in 94-95 is one of my alltime favorites. For more info on Vulva/Yoni and even a few sound bits check: http://www.source-records.com/ -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Kind of retro acid feel, but not too harsh, early RePHLeX sound -----Original Message----- From: d0ktor [mailto:ross@d0ktor.freeserve.co.uk] Sent: 19 August 1999 15:44 To: IDM Subject: (idm) Vulva Hi, There's a copy of Vulva - Birdwatch in my local record shop which I keep seeing, but I can't seem to find out much about them beyond seeing them on a few playlists along with other stuff which I like.
