Recently I was fortunate enough to find find some old school Rephlex releases, and I thought I'd share what I learned with all the Rephlex heads out there... Around two months ago, I found a copy of the Synectics LP 'Purple Universe' on vinyl (CAT 006 LP)...which surprised me, since neither of the discogs I know about list it (the one at hyperreal and Gonzi's). As a special bonus, there was a tracklisting on the label: Over: The Final Moment Here: Into the Unknown Zycoon Red Clouds Synergetic 2 Later, I was able to get a copy of this fine album on CD...without a track listing. But I did manage to come up with this (incomplete) one, based on the label of my record: 1. The Final Moment 2. Into the Unknown 3. Zycoon 4. 5. 6. Red Clouds 7. Synergetic 2 8. Now _you_ know. If only we knew the names of 4, 5 & 8... Warren -- Warren Lapham (ceremony-owner@monkey.org) laps@monkey.org (laps@umich.edu)

Two of the missing track names are 'Free Sphere' and 'Natural', the last missing one is still a mystery. I am not at home at the moment so I am unable to check the correct order of the tracks... 'Natural' is quite short a track, and 'Free Sphere' is a nearly ten-minute plonky analogue one bleepy sounds. The two tracks can also be found on RePHLeX CAT024EP, a purple vinyl EP with the two tracks mentioned above on the other side, and 'Mon' by Ono on the other. A bit of detailed knowledge for the freaks: Ono was comprised of M. Fleckner and G. Watts, also known as the Gregory Fleckner Quintet on Clear. A full-length Ono CD was going to be released (CAT024CD), but I suppose Fleckner and Watts skipped on to Clear and the CD was never released. This has not been confirmed with RePHLeX, though, and the CD might still be in the works. I highly doubt it, but just to make all RePHLeX fanatics' skin crawl... It seems that all of the RePHLeX discographies are partially incomplete :-)... -- nuutti 'gordon' meriläinen. gordon@vip.fi. diversion communications. technostructuralist.

Doh! Actually, Warren did e-mail me that info before but I lost his mail. Thanks for posting it Warren. If they're incomplete it's because not enough people speak up. If anyone else finds anything missing or incomplete in the discog. let me know... _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ RESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California, USA http://www1.linkonline.net/fresh/fresh.htm
