today I found and purchased Jake Slazenger "Das Ist Ein Groovybeat, Ja" and I love it, brilliant stuff, a bit like Mu-Ziq with the weirdness on hold and the funkyness gone haywire. I am wondering what the following MikeP thingybobs sound like in relation to this album. Do you live in a remote part of the UK? I ask only because you said you 'found' this album, and being from the US where the pickins are usually shitty, I 'find' this abum, albeit overpriced, all the time. Just wondering. Maybe I'm stupid in assuming all records are easier to find in the UK. > Jake Slazenger "Das Ist Ein Groovybeat, Ja" > Anyway, although DIEGJ is more cohesive, in that I mean it does not have any standout moments (it's all is funny feel good lounge cheese), "Makesaracket" has some more interesting sounds. Track 5 is heavenly.

You have to really like u-ziq to like all of this one, but there are some great tracks on it in any case. Andrew
