Has anyone heard Ryuji Ikeda's "+/-" which is, according to what I've heard, very Sahko-esque, very soothing and very good indeed? Also, if anyone has any info on this artist and his output, I'd like to hear about that... np: Panasonic - Kulma before that: Autechre - Envane (don't believe the nay-sayers, it's good!) ekku the maintainer of pHinnWeb - everything u ever wanted to know about Finnish techno scene but were too afraid of the reindeer trerra@uta.fi | http://www.uta.fi/~trerra | http://www.sci.fi/~phinnweb things aren't too clear and the more i see things disappear momentarily

very minimalist and very good. great album. what you've come to expect from the fine Touch label. speaker-panning sonar acrobatics, but less abrasive and unruly than the Mego clan. smooth and uncompromised, especially the standout "headphonics 1/0" - ? tamed into alluringly fluid Model500 shapes. yes, minimalism is the name of the game - giving Gas a run for the money with titles like: +, +., +.., _, _., _.., +/- damn but that looks cool. an excellent CD. Ikeda apparently has a bunch of earlier releases, all available only in Japan. any of our Eastern IDMers have any more info? just got pts 1 and 2 of the TLM saga. woohoo! expect a review sometime soon.
