If you missed it (west coasters) you haven't lived. After last night's performance I don't think I can ever say a bad thing about FSOL (like you GREG). Are there any people in the UK who taped their ISDN broadcasts. Gary Cobain mentioned doing some ISDN stuff to Italy, Germany?, and some other Euro nations. Sorry, it was hard to pay attention at 2:45 or whatever it was. Anyone who did listen, do you have any idea what flicks the dialogue samples were taken from. I am not saying EVERY piece of dialogue was from a movie, but I swear I heard lines from some familiar movies (GONZI you're the film student, any ideas?) still amazed, gil gmv500@earthlink.net 95% of any 'genre' is crap- Paul Schutze

After finally getting my setup all worked out, I found that I couldn't connect at 28.8 to my provider.. As a result, I was able to hear most of the broadcast, but kept getting interrupted so it could catch up. If anyone has a copy of it, I'd *love* to have one! --brett On Thu, 23 January 1997, at 11:02:13, gmv500@earthlink.net wrote:

Before I get too many more requests: I only have one tape deck. And it's barely working at that. Last I knew, it took 2 tape decks to make a copy of a tape. This is A Problem (-: (If I'd had my wits about me, I'd have recorded it to DAT instead.) If I can figure out how to put the output of my tape deck/stereo into the input RCA jacks on the back of a PowerMac 8500/120, press "Play", and have something useful on the Mac that I can press "Record" in and have it suck in the analog audio data and store it in some format on the Mac's hard disk, I may be able to get somewhere. I'm not sure that the Mac comes with any such program, though (it's running System 7.5.5). This seems odd when you consider that they give you an Apple Video Player. Anyone? - Greg

Here's something I was wondering: Many sites archive RealAudio broadcasts, since the files aren't huge (relatively speaking). Anyone know if this broadcast was archived? I missed it myself, and haven't had a chance to scope grooveradio's site. Alternately, you could maybe do something with the following:

What if you were to get the RealAudio encoder and encode the broadcast yourself? If you have a good tape copy, the RA shouldn't sound _too_ bad...and I could donate web space (w/ a RA server) for the resulting file. Any takers? Well, it would probably be two inconvenient, but I have a double cassette deck, so people could send the tapes to me and I could make everybody a copy. Only problem is that I live in Wyoming. Let me know if this an option.
