"The Analogue Threatre" (Internal) was one of my top 3 IDM picks of '96 (along with Blue's "Mexican Church" and Spooky's "Found Sound"), and "Sugar Is Sweeter" does not belong with the rest of the material. A nice mix of jungle, dub sounds, and other IDM styles. It would nice to see a video of "Oblivion" on Amp. Paul Rafanello intone@warwick.net

Mexican Church is excellent. I like it even better than the very good Resistance album. The slew of great releases eminating from the Emissions label has been quite amazing. Can anyone help with a source for the Being/Two Lone Swordsmen 12" on Emissions? I still can't track it down. It's a fairly recent release. I'll even call the UK and order if necessary. Thanks. T.

Is this album really any good? I considered buying it but got completely turned off by the single "Sugar is Sweeter". Am I overlooking something good here? (A local record store has got "The Analogue Theater" on offer, so I'd like to know whether to try it.) _____________________________________________________ Jezz @ http://homepages.enterprise.net/jezz/ Roland D-110 Yamaha YS-100 Casio CZ-101 Boss SE-50 C-Labs AWE-32 Tascam 4 Track Tascam 8ch Mixer _____________________________________________________

errr, no. Camargue is probably the best on 4th sign, and Neural paradox is also probably the best on Electronic Highway, Sugar is sweeter is NO way the best thing on Theatre, in fact it's probably the worst thing there! Best thing is probably the first track Obsidion

Were there singles released off Electronic Highway? Hmmm..we must have a misunderstanding here. I was saying *"Sugar.."* is by far the *worst* track on Analogue Theatre....not the best! That track is really crap. It is so out of place on an otherwise very good album. Just picked up the Camarague CD single. (Old single..I know) I think the remixes are better than the original track..though the track itself is pretty good.

Oh yeah. I simply can't say enough about how great Bolland's Electronic highway album is. A classic in the genre of beat driven electronica. By all means everyone on the list should own this album. :) So far I wouldn't put Analogue theatre in the class of Electronic Highway...although I'm not ruling the possibility out yet. Hard to overlook that huge blemish that is "Sugar is sweeter." Anyone have any purchase/listening suggestions of things along of the lines of Electronic Highway? T.
