nah mate - yer cant call skam or afx 'techno', the term 'electronica' to me is for the abstract/experimental end of electronic music...but thats the problem with these definitions- one persons electronica is another persons techno

I have to agree with sm@4thworld here - I use electronica 'cos it's *much* more general than techno/house/abstract hip-hop/etc. and it has very few of the negative connotations of "idm" (which seem to get bandied about here every few months and is getting real old), plus it's easier to explain than "idm". cya brian (apparently one of the many brians on this list - didn't know we had so many)
