I finally got hold of the limited edition book accompanying "Dead Cities", and though the art was very impressive, reading the books feels like a bad way to consume it. I'd much rather have this stuff on posters, HUGE posters to put on my walls in my room, which at the moment only have boring Pet Shop Boys posters and the like nailed to them. Anybody else feeling the same? Johan. ,,, /'~'\ ( 0 0 ) +----------------------------oOOO--(_)--OOOo----------------------------+ Johan Jaatinen Electronic music maker Anika@Info.LiU.SE Oooo. Yes, those were my thoughts exactly when I saw the book. Do try to find the ISDN and Lifeforms posters though, cause they are quite stunning also and I know they're out there. I disagree completely with you. I think the dead cities inset is an amazing read. The whole thing flows in a really neurotic kind of way. Most of the images seem to follow a sequence which leads to a really nice conclusion ( or a really bad conclusion, depending on your viewpoint ). There is grey imagery contrasted with colour. Youth with old. The image of youth has a shining light held out in his/her hand and when youth and colour "GIVES" to old and grey, a merger occurs. There is lots of images of flowing, and of the flow of time to be bidirecitonal.... I honestly prize this as the most worthwhile limited edition I have ever forked out for... - Hary J Walsh It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult. -Seneca

are these still in print? if so; are they available in the us? i have longed for some of these prints for years, but assumed that they were not available, or only available in the uk if there is a web site where one could order these it would save me a great deal of trouble, too

It's worth having the limited editon just to avoid the horrid cover of the normal version.. I thought this LP was odd, in that I thought the first half was really, really crap, mainly because of the beat-driven tracks (sorry, don't have a tracklisting..) Once the piano track comes in though, it's an completely different record, and some of their best ever material. Still, on the whole, it isn't in the same *dimension* as Lifeforms for me. On Now? Tanzmusik - Kraftwerk ..Speaking of which, anyone know what kind of drum machine was used on this track, as well as Klingklang and others?
