Well let's look at it this way. Some groups and performers will become generally accepted by the mainstream audience Prodigy, Chemical Brothers (Sad but true) seem like they are headed this way. For example, Nine Inch Nails. I have on more than one occasion mentioned other bands that predated NIN in the industrial genre to some apparently hard core NIN fans. "What'z this Front 242? The sound like a ripoff of NIN. Uhhh they like suck or sumpthin'. Huh uh huh huh huh" MAYBE they will have heard of Ministry, or even possibly Nitzer Ebb. I am no real autority on Industrial (or music in general :) ), but I present it merely as an example. I think the same will be true of this latest "trend". Just a thought, Eric

Right on. Didn't Ace of Base invent Bhangra? How about that Brian Uno guy ripping of Yanni, the inventor of ambient! I heard some pygmies chanting the other day, and I'm surprised Deep Forest didn't sue them. On another list which will remain unnamed and Really Should Know Better, the discussion rages on about the BeeGees being the first to use a rhythm loop. Didn't some damn monks go and copy Enigma? Oh, wait, that really happened. 3 P.S. Is Bryant Gumball human? He looks more androidic than a Kraftwerk video. By the way, didn't Kraftwerk rip off the melody of some rap song? What about the Smiths stealing that guitar rhythm from "No Hippychicks"?
