Uh, did it have like a title or credits or a record label on it? :-) The only extant Dome I know of is the early 80's side project of Bruce Gilbert and Graham Lewis of Wire/Wir. According to the Wire book "Everybody Loves a History", the first 2 Dome albums were to have been reissued as a double CD back in 1991 by Mute, as were the 2nd two (Dome 3 and Will You Speak This Word: Dome IV). Dome 1 was from July 1980, Dome 2 and Dome 3 from October 1981, and Will You Speak This Word: Dome IV was from May 1983. If you have track titles, I can confirm/deny that they came from this incarnation of Dome. If any recent outfit has claimed the name, (a) I can't help you and (b) they suck for doing that, because Dome == Gilbert & Lewis forever in my mind (-: ObDig: 5 seconds of Bruce Gilbert beats a lifetime of Global Goon albums. Definitely not the Gilbert/Lewis Dome, then. Prats. Maybe Brock knows who the "Cursor Club" label is ... - Greg

I it an old recording ?? In this cas it' s one of WIRE experimental effort. Wire being still releasing, I would be surprised they would still release under Dome name or affiliates (Duet Emmo, Cupol...) In the 80's they released 4 Dome LPs. ********************************************************************** Eric "Aleph6" Neurom-X Interactive Communication *********************************************************************

quoted 4 lines Dome once was a project by Gilbert and Lewis (a.k.a. WIRE). As far as> Dome once was a project by Gilbert and Lewis (a.k.a. WIRE). As far as > I know, there are 2 CD's out on MUTE/GREY AREA, compiling their > albums from the late 70's, early 80's. The CD's are called 1 2 and > 3 4.
I've long since purged the schizophrenic 1 2 and 3 4 from my collection, but remain quite fond of their contemporaneous work as Cupol, collected on: B. C. Gilbert & G. Lewis - "8 Time" on 4AD UK. (1980-81). By no means IDM, but in pieces quite ambient, even presciently following the same muse as the modern technologists. D.S. Roy aka ersatz@hal-pc.org Computers are useless.
