Not only that, Noel's releasing his *own* acid tracks. The following is from
www.nme.com. The formatting's going to be screwy...
Maybe Noel is Mira Calix!!! ;)

NOEL GALLAGHER is set to remix a
track by DJ SHADOW and could be
releasing his own 'acid house' tracks
recorded in the late 1980s. Gallagher has
so far done only one remix, of Beck's
current single 'Devil's Haircut'. Shadow,
in the dance charts with new single
'Stem', has never let anyone remix his
work before. Both camps confirmed the
project was in the pipeline. Gallagher may
also be releasing his dance music
experiments from his pre-Oasis days. He
said: "I used to go to clubs in '89 - that's
how the whole Stone Roses thing kicked
off. Guys from guitar bands going to
clubs. Remember that big rave Sunrise at
White Waltham airfield? I got arrested
there - I think there was something wrong
with the car. I used to know 808
State quite well. I did do some dance stuff
in about '88 with my producer
Mike Coyle. We've still got the tapes and
we're wondering what to do with
them."
An Oasis spokesman added: "I heard them a
long time ago and the tracks
were classic late '80s acid. The release has
not been discussed yet but there
is a possibility." Regarding the DJ Shadow
remix, he said: "It's early days
yet. Noel loves Shadow's current LP
'Endtroducing...' and Shadow
approached him by coincidence. But there's
nothing definite yet, because
Oasis are busy doing their own record." A
spokeswoman for DJ Shadow's
label Mo'Wax said: "There are discussions
going on about a remix.
Gallagher and Shadow have spoken on the
phone, but there's been nothing
finalised yet."

My whole thing is to take completely retarded songs and turn them into
something of my own. What can I bring to a song that's already been done well?
