As a perennially poor college student I don't have the luxury of buying too many records at a time. However I have a decent sized check coming in for some work I did a while back. I think I want to blow this check all in music. I want to buy more stuff on Ninja Tune since I've really liked everything I've heard and have from them. I looked at their WWW site and these are the ones I think I want to go with: Zen Brakes 1 -- Bogus Order Jazzbrakes 1 -- DJ Food Jazzbrakes 2 -- DJ Food Jazzbrakes 3 -- DJ Food Jazzbrakes 4 -- DJ Food Jazzbrakes 5 -- DJ Food Philosophy -- Coldcut The Breeze was mellow -- Up, Bustle, and Out Funk Jazztickle Tricknology -- Ninja Compilation Can anybody advise me on any others that are worth owning, or if any of these are really not that good. I'm sorry for sending this message multiple times but my server is going crazy and telling me that I am exceeding my disc quota when I'm not and telling me that it failed to send my message until now when I see that it did send it 3 times. I'm truly sorry to clog up your mailboxes with the same exact message. Peace, Pedro Cevallos -- "When the clouds opened up over the target. The target was there, pretty as a picture. Be careful of this one - its not your usual Ninja fare, or at least not nowdays it ain't. It contains lots of soul-ish vocals. When I first heard it I thought, "what is this Lisa Stansfield shite?" But listening more closely the production is excellent, the beats are ninja cool, and the singing is quite nice anyway. If you're a diva-hater though this might not be for you, unless you can't live without the Mixmaster's classic mix of Autumn Leaves.

I dig all sorts of music that makes me want to groove! :)

The truth comes out! That's one of the main reasons why I want this album. I don't have Dual CD Players and if I want to play that song I need it on vinyl! I've also been listening to DJ Food's "Refried Food Parts 5 and 6" a lot lately. Do you know if there is anymore jazzed up jungle like that out there? Let me know... I love this record, really. I wouldn't characterize the vocals as diva-esque. It's generally jazzy subdued vocals a la Sade. No hysterix or hystrionix. No rap (and there was much rejoicing). There are also jammingful instrumental cuts and sections. As you sed, the beatz are sweetz - What else could one expect from the KoldKut kids? The record is worth hearing as a cross-over, lounging with a martini between the jazz room and the triphopchillbox. Eazy, 3
