I caught Hallucinator live last night at Sprawl in London. Two guys and a woman manipulating decks and electronics. I enjoyed it though I could only stay for two songs, that was a good half hour though. I'd never heard Chain Reaction stuff at high volume before and it definitely sounded nice - very deep and pulsating with the trade mark CR dub underpinning. Less beaty than I expected, more repetive rhythmic waves of harmonic sound, still some drums floated in and out once in a while. Before Hallucinator where Kaffe & BitTonic - two women, one on the laptop and one doing decks and (non-verbal) vocals. A lot more freeform and noisy than hallucinator. The most interesting thing about it was how it worked as background music - most of the bar were talking amongst themselves, and they weren't too loud, but it definitely created an odd ambience.
