Hi, I picked up two new releases on Chain Reaction today - one by Maurizio called 'M5' and another 7 track 12" which just says "various artists" and "1-3" / "4-7" on the labels. Does anyone has any info on exactly who the people behind the tracks are? Some of it presumably is of Maurizio's hand as well, but it's hard to tell. Maarten

I'm about to make an order and figure I should add some CR releases. Which ones would you guys reccomend. There are about 20 records out. AFAIK, they're the same label (of the same label, closely related sister labels, whatever) but I'm not sure if there's a practical difference in the output, however. I've got "biokenetics" by porter ricks which I enjoy -- and from your description, it sounds like you might like it as well. someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Well i personally feel that all chain reaction records are essential and they all fit into the style you describe above. but if i had to pick my five favorites, they would be: . Various Artists: s/t 12" (Chain Reaction/CR02) . Porter Ricks: port of transition 12" (Chain Reaction/CR03) . Substance: relish 12" (Chain Reaction/CR05) . Porter Ricks: nautical dub/tidal mix 12" (Chain Reaction/CR14) . Substance: relish sessions 12" (Chain Reaction/CR18) You can read more about each release at: http://amor.rz.hu-berlin.de/~h0444rrf/cr.html -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

As Pete from CR told me, it's a british trio. One of them, a woman, is, if I well remember, a classical musician, an another one a "designer" and the 3rd a percusionist or....alike Fluxion is from Greece, Matrix from Japan. CR has opened its doors to newcomers, even if the opportunities to be listened and have feedback are limited ....................... You can add two other names to the "global expansion" of the Chain Reaction roster: Matrix from Japan and Vladislav Delay from Finnland. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
