have seen them more aware of the influence of Drum and Bass and of the fact that Jonah's work does not fit so neatly within the confines of post-rave. I really don't think the graffics would have been suitable for the space that Jonah was in upon the release of Sea Biscuit, either. For the record: 1) Jonah chose the person to do the video himself. Conor Paterson & Protean Vision Quest have contributed to the X-Mix video series. 2) Hey, this was a low budget video. What do you want for very little money? I don't see any of you calling me up and asking to do videos for (virtually) nil... Most of the stuff that has been sent to me is pretty wack, so... 3) Probably on Astralwerks project... Fuck you. Just because we're the record company means that we have no idea what is happening. Plus, this video was made almost 11 months ago. It wasn't made for AMP. Hey, without Astralwerks, Jonah wouldn't be able to afford to do a video. What's your concept, mate? Let's hear it... Jetlagged and pissed off, Peter Wohelski Astralwerks

Hey -- there's an idea. If you're a visual artist, you SHOULD call Peter and offer to do a video. Use those university studios for something besides cheerleader training videos. If it's good, then it will probably be played in Europe and Canada. It's called resume-building.

Xanax and a few shots of Jameson's and you'll be good to go, Peter. Peter, First, blame should be placed on me for posting the offending statement. Robot was only responding to my statements.

My concept was my original criticism of the (lack of?) artistic direction in computer animation. I originally stated that I have seen little improvement or change of the concepts (as opposed to technical abilities) that I was seeing in '92. "probably an Astralwerks project" meant two things. I was not sure who was behind the decisions or how complex the beuarocracy is that start with the artist and end up with a video. I have noticed your posts and I am aware of your interest in IDM or electronica or whatever but I don't know how interested or aware anyone else is that hold decision-making positions at Astralwerks/Caroline. I assumed that Astralwerks had chosen the artistic direction of the video because it seemed so far from the creative space that the latest Spacetime Contnuum album was in. No offense was intended. I actually am quite appreciatve of what Astralwerks does for electronica. Most of your releases would not make it to many places in America if it wasn't for the label. This provides people with music that they wouldn't normally hear and the artists with distribution and income that would be more difficult to acheive independantly. I know first hand that you are extremely supportive of DJs with promos and thereby support the underground, community radio stations, etc. I insulted two major minor record labels in one post, I should keep my mouth shut for awhile before sending out any demos. By the way, will Astralwerks be pressing Remit Recaps?
