I love Jocham Paap and everything I've heard by him... I'm just wondering, what exactly does he do when he "performs"? I didn't put that in quotes to belittle him by any means. I've seen RDJ spin, its quite nice. I saw Moby "perfom" once, and well, I wont go into the horrid detail...On the other hand, I've heard great praise for Autechre "performances" etc etc... If you've ever heard Speedy's LIVE album then you'll have heard what he does, but still not seen. Like all +8 or Definitive artists they have to be able to play a live show seamlessly, without DAT and without theatrics (can't do theatrics anyway if you are constantly working your performance) so what you see is one man working on his craft, like watching any artisan its either exciting if you understand (or pretend to understand)or boring if you don't, since their focus is on creating, not amusing the audience. So if you get to attend then you'll be nothing but pleased by the music. As for appearing i the US...who knows, maybe not now, but maybe soon.
