I have recently pulled Black Secret Technology back out and have re-discovered it (not like I forgot how good it was, you know what I mean..). Anyway, what has he been up to recently? I haven't heard anything new from him in a while and IMO he's one of the best Jungle artists around. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I just thought I would ask...I have the CD of BST and although I love the album, I m very disappointed with the sound quality.(recording levels seem low, very metallicky,) Does anyone else have this problem? On Fri, 6 Sep 1996, FreyGuy wrote:

I don't think Gerald Simpson has done anything new per se. But I just picked up today a new pack of Voodoo Ray remixes called "The Curse of Voodoo Ray" released under the name of Lisa May on Gerald's Juice Box label. The remixers include Alex Reece, Francois Kevorkian, Justin Robertson and K Groove. My pick of the mixes is the Justin Robertson one which is the only mix that does any justice to the original. The rest of the mixes, which range from commerical jungle to gabba house, do nothing for me. I look forward to new stuff soon. I think I remember reading in Muzik about 6 months ago that Gerald is supposed to be collaborating with some Detroit artists on a techno project. Anybody know more about that? -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

All I know (from about a year back) is that he's supposed to be doing some work with Derrick May for Transmat, but given their respective work rates we'll be lucky to see anything before, let's say: 2010 ? :) Otto OnNow: JDJ Coldcut (quite possibly one of the best mix-CDs ever)
