...amazing! Luke Vibert in his intelli-jungle mode...very melodic, very jazzy....funky even! Wacked-out sounds galore and....elegance and experimentation. And get this...that wicked singer (David Thomas?) from Pere Ubu contributes a sample or two to great effect! 9.7/10 alt-f-x jaz---dr. z---jim

I dig this too, although I only got a chance to listen to but a few seconds of it at the proper volume (idm haters in the car don't jive with my pumpin' jungle riddims)... the one standout that blew everyone's mind was the "Smoke a joint" sample early on... I was laughing for days, just because it kind of popped out of nowhere. Based on the bits I was able to hear properly, I'd say this is going to be the album of the moment for awhile... Vibert seems to have learned how to get a proper groove going with his jungle (yet he still manages to fuck with the tempo- but this time to GOOD effect). The basslines on this thing are thick as hell too... he must have used one of those "Moog" things I keep raving about... much, much better than the wimpy stuff from the EP's.

I've heard quite a bit about the plug stuff, and proudly own Vibert's reissued ep....but I've never heard of Blue Angel. Has Vibert gone in the direction of most artists, and started his own label? Is this a way for Vibert to hide behind the plug monicker? Oh, and does Blue Angel have a phone/fax number?
