Okay, I hate myself for getting into this music late and missing all those great releases. But is ab3 available anywhere? Anyone want to trade or sell (cd version)? Any help is appreciated. -Kevin

Ive just spoken to a London contact (all very hush hush!) this is out soon. Now, take note, the vinyl will be a straight repress but the cd will have about thirteen tracks! These are new so dont nobody start trying to sell off their old vinyl for loadsamoney! Oh well, they'll probably repress Ambient Otaku after some poor guy pays a hundred quid for it.... Is it possible that AB3 is the aniticpated Caustic Window?? jive rA wp: Bochum Welt - both the ep's on Rephlex are pure delight - SAW 1 all over again?

But, didn't the original CAT 008CD have 13 tracks? <last two tracks being 13a and 13b> Are you saying that these are 13 NEW tracks? That's cool, if so.

Maybe some from AB5, maybe some from Caustic LP? Speculation will get us nowhere I suppose. It would seem: the CD is a direct repress of the original. My bet is that the tracks are exactly the same as on the original AB3 cd repress. As for the AB3 vinyl... the original vinyl had more than 4 tracks. If you vinyl-heads recall, it had 10 tracks (two of them occupying the same groove.. you know, left and right channels being different songs). So, what are these 4 tracks on the vinyl repress? Are they new? Anyone who has heard both new and old vinyl.. please speak up... Someone who picked up a while label of the vinyl a couple of weeks ago posted that three of the tracks on the vinyl are on the CD version, and one is a new spoken bit of some sort. The wholesale info I've seen for the vinyl says it features material previously unavailable on vinyl. Soooo.... I would venture a guess that the vinyl features the three tracks that were previously CD-only, since 13 - 10 = 3, and a fourth track that sounds like a throwaway to me based on the description. Greg

As far as I've understood this is the situation: - The original vinyl has 9 tracks. The original CD has 13. - AB3 1997 CD is an exact copy of the 1993 13-track CD. - AB3 1997 Vinyl is a copy with the four tracks missing from the original vinyl, ie not new tracks, but pressed on vinyl for the first time. If you have the 2 vinyls, you have all tracks, if you have either of the CDs you have all tracks as well. The track [unknown] that was track 8 on the CD is one of Richard James' best tracks ever if you ask me. So git it! :) Yours, Fe. - sale/wants: http://gargamel.com/frankie ''' = ) - =-= = '''''''''' - - plodulism!: http://gargamel.com/plod -->--> -/ - - - ] '''''''' - - dot records: http://gargamel.com/dot '''''' = -.. =-= = '''908285' -

The "john smells like cat shit, or more like dog shit, wouldn't you say?" track isn't on the CD. but is on the vinyl. Someone also earlier said there are 2 caustic window tracks on there which both are on the vinyl. someone who has both can speak up? (both of both formats heh :)

Yes.. three minutes of talking about 'smelly shit' and sample rates.
