Sorry kids, my spelling IS quite horrible. Make no mistake about it. It's the result of too much spellchecking...it makes you lazy. -Fresh

Who the fuck cares? This is an IDM board, not a spelling correction board. Please don't waste precious space and time.

It's Millennium, actually :-) (And the millennium starts on Jan. 1st, 2001, not 2000, pfhhhhhbbbt!)

It's a "mailing list" actually :-) :-) :-) Hey, good trick! Grab 2 lines out of a many-line posting and claim that I'm turning it into a spelling correction.
quoted 1 line Please don't waste precious space and time.> Please don't waste precious space and time.
Wow, 2 lines on a screen and maybe a 10th of a second reading time is that precious to you? In a posting whose main segment concerned RDJ and Autechre, which I believe is a current thread on this list? Whoa, and I thought *I* was anal-retentive ... (and hey, maybe Gonzo would be interested to know the correct spelling) Excuse me for being so fucking old that I was brought up in a time where proper spelling and grammar were valued highly as a means for enhancing communication and getting one's ideas across. (Which I could swear is central to most every mailing list.) Sheesh. ObIDM: The local Wherehouse (chain store in the Western U.S.) is dumping a lot of Art of Noise CDs for cheap, in case you're interested and have a Wherehouse near you ... (i.e. perhaps it's a store-wide thing) - Greg

I care because Greg does. He didn't just correct spelling anyhow (did you read his full reply?) he went on to elaborate and expand upon the thread at hand. Objection overruled... Teep

I'm not quite sure whether this is an insult or not. At any rate, if spelling counts than you're too damn old for this list. -Fresh

went on to elaborate and expand upon the thread at hand. Yes, yes, I read the full reply and it was all well and good, but a matter of spelling certainly was not essential to his post. I just feel that there is absolutely no point to correct someone on their spelling when we know exactly what and where they are talking about. Shall we start correcting the grammar of the list members who don't speak English well? You can be a member of the IDM Spelling and Grammar Police, but count me out. I don't like picking through fat to get to the meat. Objection sustained. Andrew
