If you had to compile a CD with your favorite Artificial Intelligence Music, how would it look like ? Rules : You may choose any track of Warps's AI releases and also other tracks from artists that are on AI. So you can choose any Aphex Twin track because RDJ released AI 2. But you can't choose FSOL because they didn't have any AI release. To remind you, these are the AI releases (as far as I know). V/A-Artificial Intelligence (AI CD 1) Polygon window-Surfing on sine waves (AI CD 2) Black Dog-Bytes (AI CD 3) B12-Electro Soma (AI CD 4) FUSE-Dimension Intrusion (AI CD 5) Speedy J- Ginger (AI CD 6) Autechre-Incunabula (AI CD 7) V/A-Artificial Intelligence II (AI CD 8) My CD would look like this : 1) Autechre-Bike 2) B12-Static emotion 3) Fuse-A new day 4) Xeper-Carceres ex novum + phil 1 5) Speedy J-Symmetry 6) Aphex twin-Schottkey 7th path 7) Autechre-Nine 8) Polygon Window-If it's really me 9) Balil-Parasight 10) Reload-The biosphere Ciao, Peter -- "All that we see or seem is nothing but a dream within a dream" E.A.Poe 18--

Is there any rules for how many Tracks you can put in the rekkid, or can you make one cd with 7 discs, (maybe more) if you wish to put all the AI releases in one GIANT compilation???? Is there also possible to use other projects and psevdonymes, that the Ai released artists are involved in ? or is this strictly the name that they appear as on the Ai releases? Just wondering :) hehe anders Wighus Celestial TX Trondheim Norway

I'm going to break the rules here, but screw it... Autechre - 444, Bike, Yulquen Link - Arcadian Aphex - Quino-phec, 28 Mix, #5, Heliosphan BDP - Merck up to the end of the album Speedy J - Ping Pong, Lanzarote Seefeel - Utreat, When Face Was Face RHK - Lagoon West, Come and just so I'm *really* cheating... Spacetime Continuum - Pressure Annie Williams - Folie (why not throw in the entire ep, actually) ...and now some dumb questions so this post is actually ontopic sorta... 1. What up with the new David Moufang ep on Warp? 2. What is going to be on Blech 2? 3. Why is so much of Blech 1 sped up? 4. Is AI over with? 5. Will Plaid ever release anything again? 6. Are there any more songs called Lanzarote? 7. Who fired first? einexile in rhythm and sorrow

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but all this speculation about an Artificial Intelligence comp is pure bullshit. I can't beleive that people just want a "mixtape" of their favorites instead of a NEW FULL ALBUM of UNRELEASED MATERIAL!! That's what the AI comps were in the past, that's what they should be in the future. Period. Andrew

The question is a hypothetical one - it's really just a variant on the "definitive IDM tracks"/"top 10 albums" threads that come up every so often. Nobody expects Warp to release anything based on this thread. instead of a NEW FULL ALBUM of UNRELEASED

"Loving You Live" on AI1 had previously been released. On AI2, "Scriptures," "Spangle," and "Parasight" had all been released earlier. C. -- cspot@hyperreal.com (Chris.Hilker)
