If anyone is interested in a discography of B12 records and an interview with B12 themselves, one is available through the Magic Feet homepage, at: http://www.ep.cs.nott.ac.uk/~wsl/magicFeet.html It's quite interesting, and ends the rumours that Warp have refused to release the new album, now due out in Jan. ------------------------------------------------------------ Picked up a 12" on Likemind the other day with four tracks on it : Stasis; Redcell; Nuron; Tura. Can anyone tell me who Tura are ? The track is called 'Reishi', is it Black Dog in disguise ? Have Likemind put out any other stuff like this as I've not seen the label before. Cheers if you can help. Simon. ------Where did you get this EP from? is it available in the UK? Thanks In Advance NICK.

Indeedy. WAP37, _Time Tourist_ is out in 1996, mostly likely January. Cover art is shit hot. Track listing has been available for some time on the web site, you might get some MPEG sound samples soon, if I find the time. g3 g The WARP Web Site 3 0 3 http://www.inta.net/~g303/warp/

It was fairly widely available about just under a year ago Nick, but you'll probably have to search for copies now. I remember being quite surprised at the time as most Virgins and HMVs seemed to be carrying it. It's worth looking out for though - top 12" OnNow: Kinesthesia : _4J_ || [CiM] || s.walley@uea.ac.uk || http://www.sys.uea.ac.uk/~u9323899/

OK, so here's a quick review of Time Tourist, B12's latest LP on Warp....lp37. Time Tourist has ten tracks and lasts about fifty-seven minutes. The tracks are assorted previously released on the B12 label, already released on te Warp AI2 compilation, or previously unreleased. The Album starts off, making a grand entrance into the world of Detroit-style Intelligent Techno, however, the first track doesn't build up to much. After about three of four minutes, the track becomes seemingly looped around the same aural structures 'Ok enough of the intro already'. The second track build nicely, and has a groovy rhythm, and the album builds from there. the second Lp, or track 6 for Cd buyers takes the album to a dance peak, yet still sustaining listening interest. From here it's all plain sailing, the rhythms build, the emphasis of the music has definately shifted. Then comes in 'Scriptures', the track origianlly features on Warps second AI compilation. A familar track, and it works well at this point. It's an album that'll be sucessful on the dance floor or on the stereo alike. With reference to other B12 releases, you may notice some familiar sounds appearing, and a few re-worked tracks. It's a good album to get hold of. Nick. Nick.
