I saw copies of it at the Victoria and Albert Museum gift shop a little over a week ago. The V&A Museum is in London, England and I'm sure you could order it from them.... The V&A museum specializes in (among many other things) textiles and fashion.... jim thompson - cube root fact axon info grid data fate ::: ..::. ....: ::::.:::::: . ....::... :: .:..::::: ....:::.....::.:::::::::.. .. :..::::: .:.:..:.. ..: ...::::..:. . ...:: : .... :........:.: ..... ::... .::::::: ...:::: ... :..... ..::... :::..:::....:: .:......::.. :::::.:: ::.....

Techno Style appears to have finally been published for the UK, but now it is titled "Techno Style: The Album Cover Art". It is about 90% Album art, plus a small flyer section, some pictures taken at raves etc and a small, irrelevant "fashion" section. The cover is taken from R&S' IOTD5. So is this different from the German (& US ?) impression? I was a bit disappointed that the artwork appears to have been imported from the real articles, not directly from the masters, and there are a couple of errors (check the page with the pictures of special packaging for at least two) and I was surprised not to find a picture of the real R&S lightbox given that the LP Box set cover is on the jacket and appears again inside. But overall it's a nice book, worth (to me) the UKP20 it cost me, but not as lavish and vibrant as Localiser 1.0, which in spite of being a tad patchy and partly in German was easily worth the UKP25 or so it cost. Recommended, at least to those who like to look at artwork, and have money to burn on things other than music... After reading Generation X by Douglas Coupland. The paper is very pulpy and unfinished, ie the edges of each page don't exactly line up. I think it brings earthy quality to reading, instead of the perfect textbook edges we all know and, well...know.
