Are the Blue Room CD's now being licensed in the U.S.? I shelled out $22 for both Juno Reactor and Total Eclipse, and I saw JR in Tower this evening. It didn't have any licensing stamp on it, and was priced for $15.99 like most of their other U.S. issues. ____________________________________________________________________________ Paul Rafanello intone@warwick.net Running Free ____________________________________________________________________________

Sorry, but you got ripped off immensely. In fact, I got ripped off paying $15.99 for both at Tower, but I was desperate. I have no idea what the Outside the Reactor compilation costs, though I'm dying to get it. I don't think I'll care if I get ripped off on that one. BTW-I thought the new Total eclipse was lame compared to the new Juno Reactor. Strange, since they share bandmembers, don't you think? Mistress ov Darkness

It's true also for their live set. Seen them both this year and The Juno act was better by far. I think it is due to the fact that under Juno comes out the industrial EBM side and under Eclipse comes the more melodic trance side. snow

Exactly. Though early on, when Juno Reactor was signed to NovaMute, both groups were trancey sounding(example--'black hole' on TEEX, and 'contact' on TRANSMISSIONS), then Juno Reactor went all g*a, and stuff...Whoops, sorry, I said the "g" word! Derek

Juno Reactor, unlike Total Eclipse, have Paul Jackson on some of the tracks, and he lends the Juno Reactor sound a more "dark & dubby" indian feel to it. The two groups ARE different entities altogether though, given that the bandmembers are the same. Derek

Well, Tower has it at that price because they buy in bulk, making it easier to buy here in the US. I paid 21$ for my 4LP copy, so don't feel bad. Blue Room hasn't been licensed by anyone in the US(although Radioactive Records in LA looks promising) Derek

The lastest issue of Urb came with a Blue Room compilation released by Blue Room USA (Chicago, IL). MC

I was lucky enough to find a copy that came with the CD (most of the copies don't seem to have it, at least not here in Calgary). Anyways, it's called "Alien Software for Alien Hardware" and it's probably the best CD I've ever bought for $4. Here's the track listing: The Infinity Project - Sound Becomes Colour Etnica - Astral Way Total Eclipse - Le Lotus Bleu Voodoo People - Quadsep Cydonia - Shambhala Juno Reactor - Rotorblade Psychaos - They Tried to Grab Me Total Eclipse - Nautilus -- Brent Sawatzky sawatzky@fionn.com

Dragonfly Trance Project 1 might have something from the guys, circa 1992, and Order Odonata has 'alien', and 'sound is solid', released a little later than TEEX.
