DJ Food Refried Food Ninja Tune Britain's most musical Ninjas return with a mighty remix EP of this supreme jazzy beatmeister. MLO, Autechre, and Journeyman all get a turn behind the desk and give this jam some wicked techno texturings. Autechre's is the beatiest by far with some Palm Skinny proto-junglisms, while the other two mixes journey into soulful ambience for a masterful headtrip. This release should be out this week. -- Mark Turner mturner@netcom.com

I picked this up and it turns out to be "Refried food part 2", containing a mix of "Sexy Bits" by Autechre, which matches the above sonic description - a bit of a change from Autechre imo, more organic sounding (more "Live" style drum sounds and less of their usual metallic clicks and clonks). but... Anyone know anything a bout Refried Food Part 1? All I know is that it's on Ninja Tune and does indeed contain an Autechre remix. - Matthew

Here's what I know. I walked into the shoppe yesterday and was handed a congested sleeved 12" with the obligatory "hey teep, you might like this, it has an autechre and mlo remix." Label? i was told it's on a mo wax sublabel. is 'food' that sublabel? i thought 'food' were breakloops from the ninja tune crew.? Title? me no buy, me no know. (me buy 2nd copy of CAT030/P :) Release date? out now. Teep
