Subject: (LOW) Model 500 -> new Pink Floyd? :: John Beltran!!
If you're dubtious about buying 'Deep Space' by Model 500 (R&S) or
'Landcruising' by Carl Craig (Blanco Y Negro) you could better spend
your money on 'Earth & nightfall' by John Beltran (also R&S).. Why??
'Cause it cover looks more like the new love ballads-album as a new
techno-album on R&S.., and because the music on the album go much deeper
as the music on the albums by Juan Atkins and Carl Craig.. It seems both
don't really know what to do.. Juan Atkins should have stop making his
brilliant music some years ago (maybe 1990), instead of copying now
others and turning out to be Pink Floyd or Rolling Stones of techno..
And Carl Craig still doesn't know if he want to make big money (in the
disco) or just want to make music.. On the album of John Beltran is also
the track 'Aquatic' formely released in 1991 on (yes..) Carl Craig's
wonderful Retroactive-label..
Nice to see R&S is rerunning all the old Designer Republic cover designs
(now on Warp, next year on R&S).. Long live Stoere Binken Design ;)
