no. the new single by cylob is called "cylob's latest efforts" "cylobian sunset" was the last album i picked up by cylob however. i can't say i liked that album as much as i like this single, but time will tell. the two products are quite different. don't be turned off to this new single based upon what you have heard by cylob before, it isn't the same in my opinion. i am no cylob expert though. -daniel

Hmmm...do you own any Rephlex material? I assume you do not if you are not hip to the Cylob sound. Without getting too involved (visit Gonzi's rephlex.com for more info), I would say that with Cylob (and as a general rule for Rephlex)...less is truly more. Great music does not have to be complex. peace Nate On Wed, 3 Sep 1997, Milk & Cheese wrote:

I kind of agree. I didn't care to much for Cylobian Sunset. It was a good album, and his melodies were beautiful, but it didn't move my world. Not like Kinesthesia vol 2. Cylob's Latest effort though... this puppy should come with a pair of Depends!

haven't heard anything to that effect. there are only 500 of each format for the entire world so availability may be an issue. CD comes as a 3" in a 5 inch case with a plastic 5 inch adapter. Quite nice... gnz.

where did you get yours, gonzi? i'd love to order a copy from them, cause no one that i've talked to has even heard that it's coming out or seen it on their order sheets. and we all know about rephlex's dubious release record. everything gets pushed back and pushed back. why exactly was it limited to 500 per format, anyway? are there really only 1000 people in the world who like cylob? poor bastard. is there anyone out there who actually has this release yet? besides gonzi? let me know so i can shut my mouth and stop sounding like a jerk. alan oh, and speaking of rephlex, is AB4 *really* being rereleased on the 6th? it's not on the site. although it does say that the caustic window is going to be released "very soon" i guess we'll see about that. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

picked up "are we not men..." yesterday. happy to say that it was worth the $1.50 or so per minute that i paid. too bad the tracks weren't a little bit longer, tho. i think he definitely could have expanded on both of them. oh well. not my decision. speaking of, does anyone have a tracklisting for the "previously unavailable on compact disc" comp? hopefully there won't be too much left out. one last rephlex question. greg's new release page had AB4 slated for the 6th. did it come out yet? i know that rephlex.com says it's *being* repressed, as in "not yet". any other info on this? couldn't get into brainwashed today to check. thanks and hallelujah, alan! ps if you're looking for a copy of the cylob CD, future sounds got two in yesterday. i bought the one, but he might still have the other. give a call or send an email: (412) 421-3727, futursnd@dhp.com ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

i have the original pressing of ab4 on cd. i found it funny that you were anticipating this repress since i found the cd to be quite bad. you're welcome to buy mine. foss

I'm pretty sure my original source for this info was flawed, so I removed it once I saw it wasn't scheduled by Rephlex. As soon as I hear an official date, I'll pop it back up there. Greg

It's just a revamping of 'Rewind', an extended mix so to speak. Great drum/computer vox fuckery that almost justifies any @ all recent Rephlex atrocity. DMX mix is not for the weak in spirit. -Våt. ____________________ Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge PO BOX 382864. Cambridge, MA 02238 http://www.tiac.net/users/sheket/index.html
