i just want to take this opportunity to tell you all how amazing the new FREAKY CHAKRA album is. and i'm not just saying that cos i co-wrote two of the songs. daum has really nailed down a unique sound that is both trancy and funky at once. his new stuff is even more unbelievable. the album is LOWDOWN MOTIVATOR, it's on astralwerks, and if you don't get it you'll live to regret it. /jon

I wholeheartedly agree - i heard Lowdown Motivator for the first time yesterday and it does, indeed, rock. Daum's outdone himself. Also on the homegrown tip - Deluxe _Let the Magic Flow_.....Brilliance from Ultraviolet Recordings. If you see this pick up at all costs.... mikebee

I will third this. Both the Peace Fixation and March of the Tangent Prones twelve inches are good but not full representations of just how incredible the album is. , dana "I knew my life was complete when i found out that a piece of furniture was named after me." - me

Oh my, it certianly will be in my CD player for a while. Great dance tracks with some crossover vocal material on "budded on earth to bloom in heaven". Check out the follow-up CD-single Astralwerks is planning as well. Should have a Single Cell remix... speaks for itself. =) -bryan c. torsion@netcom.com

Has this been released yet? The dudez at our local shop say no, but their reputation for cluelessness precedes them.

daum's also got almost another double 12-inch worth of stuff to put out (which will be under a pseudonym and on a different label) that is pretty fucking incredible laidback funk. i think that will be out in a few months. ____ Hug Your Waistline to the Bassline Tamara Palmer trance@netcom.com Women Respond to Bass

I have held the promo cassette in my hands, which signals a release some time soon. This one was actually delayed a couple of times -- FC had a cut on the A-werks summer sampler last year. -- kent.williams@cadsi.com -- All views expressed are. It will be released before the end of March... I believe on the 28th... And it is indeed *excellent*. Daum proves himself to be a genuine creative mind.

I've the astralwerks promo for about a month(?) now. To be honest, I wasn't very impressed. Just not my cup of tea. :: Alan M. Parry :: fluid@hyperreal.com :: <finger me for PGP key> :: http://hyperreal.com/~fluid
