MENTAL OVERDRIVE has a new 12" out on R&S. It's called "Disto Disco", and is "a 13 minute disco track." The b-side features the track "Faith" by Mental Overdrive vs Outlander. Mental Overdrive's awaited debut album is due in the spring. Rewiew of the 12" is coming up as soon as I get it! More no.news: ISMISTIK's debut album "Remain" was released on DJAX last monday. Sparse Detroit style techno, but more listening/intelligent stuff than expected... SKETCH released their "Reasons To Sway" late 94 on Apollo. They are the guys who taught Geir Jenssen about electronic music at high school back in 82... XS TO THE RAVEZONE II, a compilation of norwegian techno is released feb 28th. This time it's a double, with 20 techno acts from norway. The single "Action Bird" by POGOMAX has already been well received... The ILLUMINATION single "Satellite" (released last autumn in ltd edition) has been picked up by the belgium Music Man. It will feature new mixes, possibly on a double 12". This does sound somewhat like Biosphere. Not really beat oriented, though. More like rumbling collages of sound. Interesting, but it may take time to grow on you... --jeff -- v jss@tivoli.com >*< Coffee - Black as hell, strong as death, sweet as love. ^ - Turkish Proverb
