Could someone, anyone tell me whether these releases will be picked up domestically (the United States) in the future? Black Dog - Spanners Autechre - Amber Sven Vath - Harlequin, Robot, and Ballet Dancer I'd hate to buy one of these and then have it come out in the US with extra remixes and 10 dollars cheaper. Also, what's the word on Aphex Twin Classics? I'm dying for this to finally come out. ---------------------------------------------------------- | Bob Weisend | "I'm not an actor, | | rweisend@oboe.aix.calpoly.edu | but I play one | | Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo | on TV." | ---------------------------------------------------------- onnow: link - arcadian (ai2)

Probably not. So far no one has pressed any GPR releases in the US. Remember Bites was a Warp release. Temple of Transparent Balls is also only available on GPR.

Probably on TVT/Wax Trax because of the Warp/Intelligent Techno deal. The Richard Kirk release is the latest...

I haven't a clue. Moonshine was pressing some Harthouse and now some other label is doing it. Is it a Logic release or Hearthouse?

Not likely. All of the Warp/TVT stuff is identical to the originals.

Buy the originals. I see 'em around all the time. -robert ______________________________________________*AudioElectronic*_____ "If BOTH the SAW and the PULSE switches are on, sonic explorers \ then both sawtooth and pulse waves are selected. \ This combination creates an extremely fat sound." So 'Spanners' is on GPR and not Warp then? I thought I remembered seeing an "upcoming Warp releases" list that included it...

I think it's on Eye Q. Warners US could conceivably release it, if they haven't already dropped him.

The original "Quoth" CD5 has four tracks... :)

Do tell us where you see 'Xylem Tube' on CD. C. -- cspot@hyperreal.com (Chris.Hilker) ...electro-spiritual in composition...

I thought MMMorris said something about the white label he had being from GPR, but I'm not at all positive.

Logic, Eye Q, Heathouse... They're all Sven's thing aren't they?

Ah yes, CD. Sorry. I forget people prefer CD's. -robert ______________________________________________*AudioElectronic*_____ "If BOTH the SAW and the PULSE switches are on, sonic explorers \ then both sawtooth and pulse waves are selected. \ This combination creates an extremely fat sound." Except for the original pressing of AI 1 with the flipped Orb and Speedy J tracks. (I think later pressings of this cd fix this problem.) AI 2 is kinda different too, but then again, Warp released 21.3 different formats for this, including wax drum and 8-track. B-12's (Electro-Soma) may be different as well, as that track listing is all shot to hell on the Wax Trax version. Never seen the original. OnInMyHeadNow: Nicole's "A Small Hole Into a Large Spectrum" Yum. Is this on a cd somewhere besides X-Mix-3? You guys are going nuts with this thread! All I meant was that TVT doesn't pay remixers to do US only cuts of singles or anything. Sheesh if they screw up the track listing that's pretty minor! This list is taking train spottong to a new level! Sorry about the mixup with the Spanners LP on Warp. At least I know which label to order it from ;) -robert ______________________________________________*AudioElectronic*_____ "If BOTH the SAW and the PULSE switches are on, sonic explorers \ then both sawtooth and pulse waves are selected. \ This combination creates an extremely fat sound." just recieved a new release one-page from TVT/warp/waxtrax stating that the street date for autechre "amber" in the u.s. is 1/24/95. intestingly enough, under the heading of "marketing elements" they state that they plan "on line promotions on the internet."
