Howdy, Just a short note to say that this is the first time i've ever seen an ad in the local (Sydney) rave, dance, nightclub, lifestyle weekly newspaper called 3D World, for a purely IDM bands album. As you can guess by the title the band is Autechre. The ad is a 1/4 of a page spread and is very minimal, ie, some weird textured background and 2 lines of text: Autechre. Amber. LP/CD/MC, November 14.94 So my questions are: is Autechre more main stream nowadays and have the same sort of things been going on in other paarts of the world? Btw below it is an ad for the new Bomb The Bass single BugPowderDust, but this contains record company logo's and what is normally expected of such ads.
