As a brand new subscriber, and at the risk of boring you, let me introduce myself. I am James Skilton, aka Steady J aka Intruder (these aliases I use in connection with making mix tapes for my friends.) I have long been a fan of many forms of "dance" music, and most recently of techno, ambient and IDM. A major point of this email is to let you all know that I am a WARP collector - I have at least one format of every (yes every) WARP release to date, most of them on 12" vinyl, but a few on CD instead/as well. This leads me to two points - 1. There must be other WARP fanatics among you - I'd be interested in "comparing notes" with anyone who has more than just a handful of ai LPs. 2. If anyone needs any info about any particular WARP release or artiste, whether AI or not, I am in a fairly good position to help! I was going to write more, but I think it was getting boring so I deleted it. J ^ NEW. Signature lite (TM). Not interesting to look at but better for the net.

Hey Jamess! Tell me everything you know about Black Dog Productions! What other releases are there besides Bytes? Does he/she/they work under any other name/label? Do you know of other artists doing comprable stuff? I heard there is a new album out in the UK- is this available in any way in the US? Thanks for any info- -Thad P>S> I've seen a guy ranting on this list naming himself Dog...could it be?

great! i'm just back from town, where i've listened into wap 52 "rac". (if that has already been discussed here, sorry... i don't remember.) it sounds like new york a few years ago i was told, and i liked it, but i went for three other discs. (upper limit for me on a record store visit these days - i'm buying too much...) anyway, - who is it? the design looks like the gak one, lilac with bold white helvetica italics. (...gak = gordon and knight? that's q no. 2) the three records i bought... himadri (plus 8042) (who's that?) g.e.n.: time square (mille plateaux 6) (that's walker and khan - it seems walker has finally moved to nyc now :'-( -bad for cologne!) lassigue bendthaus: render audible, u.s.remixes (kk 127) (they also haven't been sleeping lately - it's way better than "cloned") all three sounded pretty good! p. on now... just humming mac ambience... i'm at work... but i'd love to have speedfreaks "nitemare at 240 bpm" handy :-)
