The existence of the RDJ track, "Aphex Airlines," has already been mentioned. It is very much unlike anything he's released in the past, to my knowledge anyways. It's a beatless, noizy track, kinda like what I understand earlier Zoviet France to sound like. He plays with the extremely high frequencies *and* extremely low frequencies at the same time, which makes it very difficult to keep your bearings. It's grating at times, but it does shift around a bit and it does hold your interest. It clocks in at 6:18. I love it, personally, but it doesn't really fit in with the topic of this list. The Seefeel track is very minimal, even for them. Imagine something from _Quique_, slow it down a bit, and remove the quitar. There you go. I like it, but not as much as their other stuff. It's called "Lief." This pair of CDs highlights those darker, more unpleasant aspects of ambient music. There are a couple of noizy tracks, but most are just unhappy and disorienting. Fun for the whole family. :-) Virgin AMBT 4, 7243 8 39810 2 1.
