Hi everyone,
I just listened to the domestic release of Eye Q's compilation : Behind the
Eye. And I must say it's one shit record. Apart from one track the
rest of the tracks are mediocre at best; no wonder the import version was
so lacking in stores.
On the other hand the Free Zone ambinet compilation from Belguim's SSR records
is really good. Tracks are from a variety of sources: Ken Ishii, Bleep,
Pete Namlook, etc. Question: does anyone know where the Karl Biscuit track
"Hierophone" comes from, and are there any other mixes?
Other recommendations: Wagon Christ on Rising High, good analog sounding
ambient stuff, and also on Rising High the new one from London School of
Electronics, both very good. One side note I got the ablum from the
Czech band "Ecstasy of St Theresa" and its kind of ambient similar to
SeeFeel but more calmer and the same etheral voices, not bad.
