As I stated in private email to a few folks, I hope no one took my
comments as some sort of attack on this list, or its general
content. This forum has turned me on to more great music than I could
hope to list, my only regret is that I haven't given as much as I've
received. I'm making a concerted effort to post more reviews,
but right now my obligations to my employer and friends I owe
lots of email to have to come first :)
I do think we should consider a renaming, as the phrase "Intelligent
Dance Music" grates a little more every time I have to type it... :)
As far as the Great Renaming goes, do we want to make a formal
proposal/vote thing about this (Fluid?)
I'd have to agree that Electronic Dance Music is probably a bit overbroad
as a name, but I worry that Armchair Techno would rule out things like the
King Tubby stuff that's been brought up today...
