Well, I didn't say ALL Detroit (and surrounding areas) material is bad, but then again, somehow, it seems I may have generalized. I had certain techno in mind...I'll give examples more often from now on, but I can't think of any since I don't bother to get into the names of stuff I don't buy. Anyway, a point is, I buy more import 12"s than domestic... This thread started from Pete's post comparing Detroit and Aphex... and I don't think the stuff I spin when DJing isn't really IDM, so I'll stop here. Just wanted to point out that I wasn't generalizing and that there is in fact great material out of that area! I like what I've heard of UR so far. BTW, Where is Speedy J from? -djkc
